iwork.ca is a great online tool for managing your staff team. Below is a list of some of our most popular features:

Employee features

  • View your own personalized work schedule (no need to sift through the entire schedule to find your shifts)
  • Receive email reminders an hour before shifts you are scheduled for (never forget about a shift again!)
  • View a master schedule to see who you are working with
  • Trade shifts (full or partial shifts) online instantly (any time of day or night)
  • Receive email reminders when other staff post shifts for trading
  • Submit your availability online
  • View updated phone/email contact lists for your staff team
  • View list of all other staff members who are eligible to trade shifts and fill in for you
  • Send quick, spam-free notes to other staff members and your employer
  • View announcements from your employer (keep up to date on what's happening at work even when you are away)
  • Quick access to training materials, links and other reference materials right from the iwork homepage

Employer features

In addition to all the employee features above, employers can:

  • Post an entire staff schedule online, with instant changes (iwork will also store a complete history of all past schedules)
  • Allow staff to trade shifts online (optionally you can require your approval for each trade)
  • Post announcements for all staff to read online
  • Post links and files for staff to view and download
  • Collect and search staff availability
  • Control individual staff access to iwork (you determine who can access your staff team)
  • Collect availability for special events from your staff (who can attend staff training on certain dates?)
  • Poll your staff to get the popular vote when making decisions (which night works best for the Christmas party this year?)
  • Post important phone numbers on the contact list (emergency numbers, after-hours contact info, etc)
